The delegation went on a tour of the control rooms at Horsens, Fredericia as well as the joint control room of the Copenhagen and East Zealand Fire Brigades.
The management at Rogaland Fire and Rescue was also looking for inspiration on how to improve and secure communications between the control room and vehicles. This sparked great interest in our ISM solution comprising interGATE4 mobile devices and a map based on OpenStreetMap (OSM).
At the control room in Horsens, the delegation received a guided tour of the garages as well as a demonstration of how Horsens benefit from the seamless integration between ISM in their control room and the interGATE4s installed in their vehicles.
Among other things, Horsens demonstrated how ISM enabled them to continuously update the map to reflect real-time local traffic conditions on-the-fly. For example, by enforcing temporary speed limits on individual road segments, which the interGATE would then take into account during route calculations. Consequently, the interGATE would prioritize a route circumventing traffic jams in the city centre.
At Fredericia, the delegation focussed on handling alarms in ISM as well as learning more about the entire technical setup. Consequently, the server room was thoroughly inspected.
